The Redwell Inn - Barnard Castle

This place suits me perfectly. I love the free wi-fi, the cozy bar/lounge, and the excellent in-room breakfast. The staff helped me with my bags during my first stay, which left a good impression. I highly recommend coming here for a warm, cute experience!

Generally, really enjoyed this comfortable accommodation with helpful staff who are so are so friendly and provide impeccable service. Got a delicious and savoury breakfast quickly served. The property's location was excellent, up to much everything on it. And we were short walk to the local sights.

We explored two nearby attractions and enjoyed every moment. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a standout, and the location was perfect for getting around. The atmosphere was cozy, and we appreciated the warm hospitality.

We did find the outside area a bit tired-looking, which could use some attention to boost its appeal.

The redwell inn is a lovely small hotel with about 8 rooms. It's conveniently located near the picturesque countryside, perfect for anyone wishing to explore the moors. The food is a delight, especially breakfast, with high-quality dishes served well. The staff were cute, and a special mention goes to saff for her charm and local insights!

i would say the layout of the rooms could use a bit of an upgrade.

The rooftop terrace accessed from the room provided a fantastic view that was perfect for enjoying a drink at dusk. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, with fresh fluffy towels and a comfortable bed ensuring a good night's sleep.

Hot water only becoming available late at night felt a bit off for a place charging what they do. Meals were inconsistent, with the dinner experience leaving something to be desired, particularly the undercooked chicken and lack of fresh sourcing for vegetables. The general maintenance of the bathroom, including the extractor noise and some mold, detracted from the overall escape vibe of the place.

The cozy bar area was a highlight for me! It felt like home. the window noise from the street was a bit much. 😅

The staff were incredibly welcoming and truly went out of their way to accommodate dietary needs, which made our stay very enjoyable. The meals, particularly breakfast, were delicious and beautifully presented, with a good selection available. Although our room was a bit dated and the bed not to our liking, we still had a comfortable sleep and found everything tidy and clean.

Family better than expected

The staff were very attentive and we received a warm welcome, made all the difference. The food was hot and surprisingly tasty, especially that sticky toffee pudding that was hard to resist.

It wasn't exactly a bargain but honestly not too bad.

Staying at the Redwell Inn was a good experience. The staff members were very cute, and the room felt comfortable and clean. Breakfast featured high-quality ingredients, delivering a hearty start to the day. While the bathroom could use some updating, my overall experience was positive. I'd happily return!
